Double Low-E glass product suited for residential use in development
For the glass used in the windows and doors of apartments and homes in Korea, the standard practice is for glass makers such as Hankuk Glass and KCC Glass to produce coated glass, after which small and mid-sized processing companies fabricate this raw glass into insulated (double-pane) glass and apply it to windows and doors. More recently, the company has been supplying 'DURA Max,' which combines outstanding durability with further enhanced insulation performance, and demand for it has been growing steadily. Both products are Non-edge deletion Low-E glass that does not require 'edge stripping'—an essential step in the process of fabricating soft-coat Low-E insulated glass—and they are among Hankuk Glass's flagship, most popular products.
Hankuk Glass supplies these high-functionality products to its window and door manufacturing partners with reliable quality, delivering insulated glass stably and quickly through collaboration with members of its insulated-glass production network, the 'Duolite Club.' Because the roughly 70 'Duolite Club' member companies are distributed across the country, window and door manufacturers can reliably receive insulated glass from the nearest member company, reducing logistics costs. By applying high-functionality Low-E glass and top-grade warm-edge spacers, they can also maximize the insulation performance of their windows and doors, enabling product differentiation from existing offerings as well as lineup expansion.
