Amid rising remodeling demand, the company unveils its first children's room remodeling package

Flooring, wall materials, lighting, furniture and more—all together in a minimum two-day installation

Hanssem Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jin-tae), a comprehensive home interior specialist, recently announced that in line with the growth of the remodeling market, it will expand its lineup of room-by-room partial remodeling packages for spaces such as children's rooms, bedrooms and living rooms.

In 2016, Hanssem launched its remodeling specialty brand Hanssem Rehaus, offering remodeling packages covering entire homes, including living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. As demand has recently grown not only for whole-home remodeling but also for partial remodeling done while continuing to live in the home, Hanssem has decided to launch room-by-room partial remodeling package products starting this year, allowing work to be completed quickly and easily even while residents remain in the home.

Hanssem selected the children's room as its first room-by-room partial remodeling package product. This is because for Hanssem, customer demand is especially high during this period, with 50% of annual children's room furniture sales concentrated between January and March each year.

Hanssem's children's room package product proposes everything needed for a children's room remodel at once, including furniture such as desks, chairs, bookshelves, wardrobes and beds, as well as flooring, wall materials and lighting. All items combined can be installed in as little as two days—one day for the remodeling and one day for furniture installation.

This kind of fast and easy partial remodeling package work is made possible through innovations in building material installation and efficient process management using an ERP system.

For the wall and ceiling installation materials in the children's room package, interior boards made by attaching various surface finishes to wood are used. For a standard 3-pyeong (roughly 10㎡) children's room, the work can be completed in half a day, and thanks to their high durability and easy maintenance, these boards are increasingly being used as interior materials in newly built apartments. The flooring likewise uses products that can be installed in a single day without removing the existing floor.

In addition, Hanssem efficiently manages the complex remodeling process—from product preparation and shipment to installation—through an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system that connects Hanssem Rehaus dealerships nationwide with some 8,000 installation partner technicians.

Ahn Heung-guk, president of Hanssem's Rehaus Business Division, said, "Hanssem continues to release a variety of innovative building material products that enable fast installation even while residents remain in their homes, and we efficiently manage the complex remodeling process through a systematic network linking dealerships and installation partner technicians." He added, "Going forward, we plan to expand our room-by-room partial remodeling packages beyond children's rooms to living rooms, bedrooms, studies and more."
