ESG Report Category of the U.S. LACP Vision Awards

Ranked 11th among some 1,000 companies worldwide in the ESG Report category

Hanssem Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jin-tae) announced that its sustainability report has been selected for the Platinum (grand prize) award in the ESG Report category of the ‘Vision Awards’ hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), the largest marketing research organization in the United States.

LACP is a marketing research organization made up of American communications professionals. It presents three awards: ▲the ‘Spotlight Award,’ which evaluates corporate communications works; ▲the ‘Inspire Award,’ which recognizes corporate publications; and ▲the ‘Vision Awards,’ which recognize annual publications such as sustainability reports. Each award is presented in tiers, including Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

Hanssem’s sustainability report received Platinum, the top grade, in the ESG Report category of the Vision Awards. It earned perfect scores in seven of the eight evaluation criteria—including first impression, design, creativity, and communication of information—for a total score of 99 points. It was highly praised for breaking away from the conventional, formulaic report image by adopting a cover design that uses icons to enhance accessibility. As a result, it was also named 11th on the ‘World Wide Top 100,’ a list of outstanding works selected by LACP from among the roughly 1,000 participating companies.

Hanssem is the first company in Korea’s furniture and interior industry to win a category grand prize at the Vision Awards. In particular, Hanssem demonstrated its strong ESG capabilities by receiving higher evaluations than leading global consumer-goods brands in this assessment. In addition, Hanssem was also selected for a ‘Gold’ award in the overall sustainability report evaluation of the Vision Awards. Going forward, Hanssem plans to strengthen its ESG management capabilities and to continue actively communicating with the market and consumers.
