Following Home Remodeling, an Omnichannel Is Built for the Home Furnishing Segment

Features Include In-Store Consultation Booking, QR Experience Card, and Built-in Wardrobe Self-Planner

Hanssem Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Yu-jin) announced that, after launching its new online platform 'Integrated Hanssem Mall' this past February and rolling out its Home Remodeling services, it has now developed and launched services for the Home Furnishing segment.

Through this digital transformation of its Home Furnishing services, Hanssem has implemented an 'Omni-Channel' across both its Home Remodeling and Home Furnishing segments. An omnichannel refers to a service that helps customers search for or purchase products through various paths, seamlessly moving between online and offline, in order to deliver a better customer experience. This past February, Hanssem implemented an omnichannel in the Home Remodeling field by introducing features such as ▲Search by Apartment ▲Untact 3D Proposals ▲Remodeling Manager.

This time, Hanssem has added new Home Furnishing features to the Hanssem Mall website and app: ▲In-Store Consultation Booking ▲QR Experience Card ▲Built-in Wardrobe Self-Planner.

In-Store Consultation Booking is a feature that helps customers review the location and benefits of each offline store in advance and visit at their preferred time. When a customer uses this feature to enter their products of interest, visit schedule, and preferred style in advance, that information is automatically forwarded to store staff. Then, when the customer actually visits the store, they can hear staff explain the products or browse other recommended items without having to wait.

The QR Experience Card is a feature that allows customers to scan the QR code on a piece of furniture in-store to check detailed product information. Using VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) technology, customers can visualize furniture placed in a real space, and can also check purchase reviews and actual placement examples for the product.

The Built-in Wardrobe Self-Planner is a feature that lets customers design Hanssem's storage furniture—such as built-in wardrobes and dressing rooms—for themselves. After entering the dimensions of the space where it will be installed, customers can select from various modules and doors, such as single-tier wardrobes, two-tier wardrobes, and organizer units, to purchase right away, or forward the information to their preferred store for a consultation.

A Hanssem official said, "Over the past 50 years or so, Hanssem has advanced its offline-based home interior business to maintain its position as the industry's number one. Recently, as consumers' shopping behavior has shifted—with an increasing share of them obtaining home décor information through online platforms and going on to make purchases—we built our digital platform, Hanssem Mall, through large-scale investment. Starting with Home Remodeling services in the first half of the year and completing Home Furnishing services in the second half, we will further solidify our position as the industry's number one interior specialist company that seamlessly bridges online and offline."

Meanwhile, Hanssem has been pursuing digital transformation in earnest since 2022 to improve a customer purchasing experience that has been centered on offline channels. This past February, it launched the integrated-platform Hanssem Mall app with enhanced Home Remodeling services, and it plans to complete the digital transformation of its Home Furnishing services later this year by adding features such as a 'Home Furnishing Solution.'
