Cash-usable points provided for complying with basic on-site safety rules

Safety points accumulated for participating in mandatory safety training, and more

Hyundai E&C is implementing the 'H-Safety Wallet System,' a first for the domestic construction industry, which provides accident-free incentives to workers to encourage voluntary safety management. Through this, the company is expanding its investment in raising the safety awareness of on-site workers and further strengthening on-site safety.

The 'H-Safety Wallet System' is an incentive program that awards safety points to workers on site for each achievement item they complete, including △compliance with safety rules, △completion of mandatory safety training, and △safety reports and suggestions.

The company finalized the operating plan for the system in 2021, developed the platform, began a pilot run this January, and plans to expand its application to all sites within the first quarter.

Hyundai E&C provides an incentive proportional to a worker's accident-free workdays when the worker reports for duty that day and complies with the basic safety rules.

After signing up for the H-Safety Wallet platform provided by Hyundai E&C, workers receive a minimum of 100 points and a maximum of 1,600 points per day through on-site work verification such as QR check-in. The accumulated points can be converted to Naver Pay points at a 1:1 ratio and used for Naver Pay payments at Naver Shopping and Naver Pay online and offline merchants. However, if an accident occurs during work or unsafe behavior is displayed, the previously weighted points are reset.

Workers newly hired at Hyundai E&C sites can accumulate 500 points by obtaining certification for completing new-hire and regular safety training.

When a worker completes the mandatory new-hire training or regular safety training conducted on site, the points are automatically awarded by scanning a QR code on a terminal installed in the safety training room, and the worker can immediately check their accumulated points and newly earned points through the app.

Hyundai E&C encourages smooth communication and participation with workers through an incentive program that awards points for on-site safety reports and suggestions.

If a worker discovers a hazardous condition while working on site, a risk factor such as another worker's unsafe behavior, or has a suggestion regarding safety and health, they can register it on the H-Safety Wallet platform. Suggestions selected through review and approval by the site manager can receive up to 100,000 points.

A Hyundai E&C official emphasized, "Through the implementation of this H-Safety Wallet System, we expect on-site workers to internalize safety awareness and take the lead in safety management," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to strengthen our safety management system and lead the way in creating a safe and happy on-site work environment."
