“28 Furniture Companies from 13 Countries in One Place”

More than 740 pieces of furniture and accessories on sale, including Italy’s ‘Piña Chair’

Total interior company Hyundai Livart is opening ‘Global Livart Gallery,’ a dedicated online showroom for overseas furniture, within its official online mall, Livart Mall (hyundailivart.co.kr).

The Global Livart Gallery presents more than 740 kinds of furniture from 28 manufacturers across 13 countries—ranging from Italy, renowned for luxury furniture, to Ghana, India and Turkey. It carries not only products from established furniture brands but also furniture from overseas manufacturers with outstanding production capabilities. The Global Livart Gallery marks the first time a Korean furniture company has personally selected and introduced hundreds of distinctive furniture products from more than a dozen countries to the domestic market.

A Hyundai Livart official said, “We launched the Global Livart Gallery to strengthen our competitiveness in the online furniture market—which has become mainstream since COVID-19—and to actively respond to increasingly premium and diversified consumer demands,” adding, “Along with the colorful and unique furniture from around the world that we discovered ourselves, we have also prepared a variety of engaging content, such as each furniture company’s history and strengths and each designer’s design philosophy and profile.”

In the Global Livart Gallery, customers can click the ‘Global Furniture’ tab on Livart Mall’s main screen and then view brands and furniture products by continent and country at a glance through a world-map-style display. Products on offer include the ‘Piña Chair Series’ from Italy’s MAGIS, designed by world-renowned designer Jaime Hayon, as well as items from premium European furniture brands such as MOGG and MOUSTACHE, along with accessories and small furniture pieces made by artisans from emerging manufacturing countries never before introduced in Korea, such as Kenya and Thailand.

In addition, for premium furniture brands with high recognition in the global furniture market—such as Italy’s TONELLI, which counts ‘Karim Rashid,’ regarded as one of the world’s three greatest industrial designers, among its designers, as well as ARTU and MINIFORMS—Hyundai Livart is the sole company in Korea to have signed import contracts and to present them.

Considering that the overseas companies in the Global Livart Gallery are unfamiliar to domestic consumers, Hyundai Livart also operates a section introducing each furniture company’s history and strengths, as well as a section presenting the design philosophy and profiles of some 40 designers.

Hyundai Livart made active use of its global network to open the Global Livart Gallery. Through local staff at its Indonesia, Vietnam and China subsidiaries and its Qatar and Singapore branch offices—markets Hyundai Livart has entered—the company visited furniture fairs and local factories around the world to verify product competitiveness, local recognition and business stability.

In particular, Hyundai Livart plans to directly take responsibility for and manage the entire process—import, delivery, installation and after-sales service (A/S)—for all imported products sold in the Global Livart Gallery.

Kwon Tae-jin, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Livart’s Sales Division, said, “With the operation of the Global Livart Gallery, we have created a culture of safe overseas furniture shopping while at the same time offering consumers a new service in furniture and interiors that they have never experienced before,” adding, “We will continue to grow into a company that takes the lead in presenting diverse lifestyle content.”
