Hyundai Livart is unveiling its largest-ever 'Livart Style Shop showroom' on the furniture street in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, an area densely packed with high-end furniture brands.
Hyundai Livart, a total interior company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced that it will open the 'Livart Style Shop Gangnam Showroom' (hereinafter the Gangnam Showroom) in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on September 30.
With a sales floor area of 2,845㎡ (864 pyeong), the Gangnam Showroom is the largest among the roughly 80 Livart Style Shop showrooms nationwide. Spanning four floors (from the first basement level to the third floor), the entire building is operated as a single store. A total of some 800 types of furniture, including beds, sofas, and dining tables, are on display. The first basement level features showrooms in the 10 to 20 pyeong range and an experience zone for ceramic kitchenware (dining tables and chairs). The first floor is composed of a premium furniture zone (H-MONDO, West Elm, etc.), while the second floor offers 40-pyeong-class showrooms and bedroom furniture (wardrobes, mattresses, etc.). The third floor consists of 30-pyeong-class showrooms as well as study and children's room settings.
To differentiate the Gangnam Showroom from other ordinary furniture stores, Hyundai Livart has displayed artworks suited to the ambiance of each floor and created cultural spaces (a gallery on the first basement level, a terrace café on the first floor, a kids' book café on the third floor, and more). It has also set up spaces where customers can experience Livart's new products firsthand, such as ceramic tables and mattresses.
An official from Hyundai Livart said, "The Nonhyeon-dong furniture street where the Gangnam Showroom is located is a place that draws customers looking for high-end interior products," adding, "We plan to continuously develop and present Hyundai Livart's own differentiated designs and top-quality products at the highest level in the country."
Meanwhile, to celebrate the opening of the Gangnam Showroom, Hyundai Livart is holding a promotion through October offering discounts of up to 50% on a total of some 50 products, including sofas, beds, and dining tables. During the same period, it is also collaborating with emerging domestic designers such as Kim Geon-ju (visual), Sim Bo-geun (ceramic), Park Hye-yun (paper), and Jeong Jae-in (illustrator) on a special exhibition themed 'The Art of Everyday Life.' Using the first-basement-level gallery and each floor, artworks and Livart products are displayed together, and the company is also running cultural lectures (Home Classes) featuring invited artists from various fields, including a drawing class by Kim Chung-jae, a product designer and TV personality.
