Flagship store ‘Livart Total Gangnam’ opens, bringing together everything from furniture and building materials to complete interior packages

Hyundai Livart is unveiling an extra-large showroom in Gangnam, Seoul, driving the expansion of the sales network for its total interior brand ‘Livart Zip-terior.’ The plan is to solidify its position in the total interior industry through an aggressive build-out of its sales network.

Previously, Hyundai Livart threw down the gauntlet in the interior market by launching ‘Livart Zip-terior,’ a total interior brand that provides everything from furniture to remodeling in a one-stop service spanning all home-related consultations, space consulting, purchasing, construction and after-sales service.

Total interior company Hyundai Livart announced that it has renovated its residential furniture showroom in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and is newly unveiling it as ‘Livart Total Gangnam,’ the flagship store of ‘Livart Zip-terior.’

‘Livart Total’ is a total interior showroom that brings together products from all of Hyundai Livart’s brands—including the residential furniture brand ‘Livart’ with its living room, study and bedroom offerings, as well as the total interior brand ‘Livart Zip-terior,’ which provides kitchens, bathrooms, windows and doors, and building materials. With a store area of 2,752㎡ (approximately 834 pyeong), ‘Livart Total Gangnam’ is the largest of the directly operated showrooms Hyundai Livart runs in the Seoul area.

A Hyundai Livart official explained, “The Nonhyeon-dong furniture street where Livart Total Gangnam is located is a landmark commercial district where all the famous domestic and international furniture brands are gathered,” adding, “In particular, Nonhyeon-dong has recently been drawing even more attention from consumers with a strong interest in interiors, thanks to the upscale image the area symbolizes and expectations for upcoming new occupancies and nearby redevelopment—which is why we have newly unveiled our total interior showroom here.”

The Livart Total Gangnam showroom spans a total of four floors, from one basement level to three above ground, displaying some 800 types of furniture such as beds, sofas and dining tables, along with roughly 500 types of interior materials such as doors, windows and wallpaper. Visitors can experience the entire lineup of the total interior brand ‘Livart Zip-terior’—including Livart (residential furniture), Livart Kitchen (kitchen furniture), Livart Bath (bathrooms) and Livart Window (windows and doors)—and a key feature is that consultation and purchasing can be completed in one stop.

First, the basement level and the first floor showcase residential furniture products such as bedroom and study furniture and sofas and dining tables, respectively, while the second and third floors are organized around Livart Zip-terior products and packages. The second floor displays kitchen (Livart Kitchen) and bathroom (Livart Bath) packages, and the third floor is configured as a library-concept exhibition space where visitors can view, experience and choose Livart Zip-terior’s building material products firsthand.

In particular, the third floor houses a model-house-style showroom (exhibition space) that faithfully recreates an apartment with a dedicated area of 84㎡. Here, Livart Zip-terior’s total interior packages and residential furniture are arranged to match each concept—such as ‘Airy Soft,’ which applies soft Livart colors like Deep Sea Trench Brown and Dolphin Grey together with round-cornered furniture, and ‘French Glam,’ which combines weighty colors with moldings such as metal and wainscoting.

Also drawing attention is the bold use of a rich variety of colors, such as yellow and green, in the interior design of the ‘Livart Total Gangnam’ showroom. Some 20 colors were used—including Whale Shark Green, Lichen Mint Grey and Sand Dab Yellow—from the ‘Livart Color Palette,’ a proprietary color manual developed in partnership with the British architecture and interior design firm Ab Rogers Design. A company official explained, “The intent is to create a trendy atmosphere that stimulates creativity, as if visiting an interior design fair or a pop-art museum, to help customers who visit the store envision their own interiors.”

Hyundai Livart plans to accelerate the expansion of the sales network for its total interior brand ‘Livart Zip-terior,’ starting with this ‘Livart Total Gangnam.’ Within this year, it will fully renovate 12 directly operated showrooms nationwide—in Busan, Daejeon, Gwangju and elsewhere—into Livart Total stores and operate them as flagship stores. In March, it also opened Livart Total Suwon, which spans 3,276㎡ (approximately 993 pyeong).

In addition, in the first half of this year, the company plans to showcase a large array of total interior products and packages at Livart stores operating in department stores, outlets and other venues. It is also aiming to increase the number of dealerships to a total of around 300 by the end of this year, on top of the roughly 150 already secured.

A Hyundai Livart official said, “Through aggressive expansion of our sales network, we plan to rapidly establish the industry position of our total interior brand ‘Livart Zip-terior,’” adding, “We will also continue to upgrade Livart’s distinctive quality and service to further solidify our standing as a total interior specialist.” 02-547-2155
