Premium interior fair

Films, interior stone and more on display

Hyundai L&C took part in 'Design Shanghai 2024,' held over four days beginning June 19 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center in China. Design Shanghai is China's largest premium interior design fair, where more than 600 companies and designers from around the world present interior and building materials.

Participating for the third time this year, Hyundai L&C set up an exhibition booth in the New Materials & Techniques section to showcase its advanced technology. An official from Hyundai L&C said, "Following our participation in 'Guangzhou Design Week' last year, this year we took part in Design Shanghai, which draws active visits from field professionals such as design firms and interior designers, and we are putting even greater effort into direct local sales activities."

The Hyundai L&C booth drew attention from attendees with a dragon structure created using the eco-friendly interior film 'Bodaq,' and inside it displayed more than 30 flagship products, including the film products 'Bodaq' and 'Bodaq Deco,' the reinforced natural stone interior stone 'Khanstone' (export name: Hanstone), and the engineered marble 'Hanex.'

In particular, Hyundai L&C unveiled new products applying outstanding technology, such as 'Painted Concrete' and 'Velvet Metal,' which bring out the distinctive textures of the Bodaq line, and 'Real Fabric,' which is made by weaving weft and warp threads just like actual fabric. It also presented wall decorative materials with film applied to boards, reflecting the latest interior trends such as modularization and easy installation, earning high marks for their versatility. In addition, in the case of Khanstone, the 'Opimo Collection'—the world's first to realize the pattern of natural quartzite stone—received favorable reviews from local visitors.

Meanwhile, since establishing its Shanghai subsidiary in 2009, Hyundai L&C has expanded the market with a focus on films and interior stone, and has had its excellence recognized by supplying materials to five of China's major international airports and to the headquarters of the IT company Terminus, among others.
