‘Hanstone Global Website’ Wins Grand Prix in Architecture & Construction Category

Introduces ‘Visualizer’ Feature for Combining Hanstone Models and Colors

Hyundai L&C has earned the honor of the Grand Prix at the ‘2020 &Award,’ Korea’s most prestigious digital marketing award.

Hyundai L&C, a comprehensive building-materials company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced that its ‘Hanstone (domestic name: Khanstone) Global Website (www.hanstone.com)’ was selected as the Grand Prix winner in the Architecture & Construction category within the Digital Media & Service division of the 2020 &Award. Until now, the winners in the &Award Architecture & Construction category have mainly been advertising campaigns by construction firms, making Hyundai L&C the first building-materials company to be selected.

The ‘Hanstone Global Website’ that won this Grand Prix is a website specially created to introduce ‘Hanstone,’ the high-quality, well-designed engineered stone produced by Hyundai L&C, to overseas designers and architects, and it was launched in November 2020.

A company official explained, “The Hanstone Global Website received high marks from the judges for building an interface that lets users view the product’s design patterns in a way that closely resembles the real thing, and for introducing a ‘Visualizer’ feature (a function that renders products as if seen with the naked eye) that allows users to combine each Hanstone model and color across various interior settings such as kitchens, living rooms, and bathrooms — all of which contributed to the award.”

Meanwhile, the ‘&Award’ is Korea’s largest digital marketing award, organized by the Korea Digital Enterprise Association and officially sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation, and the Korea Internet & Security Agency. Winners are selected through rigorous evaluation by a panel of expert judges composed of marketing specialists, industry CEOs, and external experts.

A Hyundai L&C official said, “With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, worldwide demand for purchasing architectural and interior materials online is surging rapidly,” adding, “In line with this trend, we will strive to build a differentiated, user-centered website and raise brand awareness so that we can leap into the ‘Top 3’ brands in the global engineered stone market within the next three years.”
