Launches 2021 self-installation building materials, including ‘Bodak Tile’ and ‘Swium Tile’
Hyundai L&C is set to expand its lineup of ‘self-interior building materials’ that allow anyone to easily decorate their indoor spaces.
Hyundai L&C, a comprehensive building materials company under the Hyundai Department Store Group, announced that it is expanding its ‘DIY (Do It Yourself)’ interior building materials, including Bodak Tile and Swium Tile.
‘Bodak Tile’ is an adhesive finishing material that can be used to decorate the walls of indoor spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. Its distinguishing feature is that, regardless of the form of the existing wall surface such as tile or wallpaper, it can be easily cut with a knife or scissors and applied like a sticker. The new 2021 product is the first in Korea to feature an epoxy coating for outstanding waterproofing and durability, and it comes in new patterns and colors such as ‘Big Brick Dark Grey’ and ‘Hexa Mono White.’
‘Swium Tile’ is a DIY flooring material that, like Bodak Tile, is completed by cutting it with a knife or scissors and applying it like a sticker. It boasts excellent durability, is resistant to staining and scratching, and also has antibacterial functions. Its four representative products are characterized by the way they render the qualities of natural materials through color and pattern, such as ‘Ginger,’ which resembles real wood, and ‘Classic Marble,’ which has a sophisticated marble feel.
These DIY interior products use no phthalate-based plasticizers, which are classified as environmental hormones, and contain none of the six major hazardous heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury, and lead, so they can be used with peace of mind not only in homes but also in childcare facilities.

An official at Hyundai L&C said, “As the ‘stay home’ trend of remaining in a safe home spreads, we have introduced our 2021 new products targeting self-interior enthusiasts who decorate their homes to match their own personalities,” adding, “We plan to continuously expand the range of our DIY interior product offerings.”
