Scandia Moss Frames Installed

The 'HomeCC Volunteer Corps,' a volunteer group made up of KCC Glass employees, installed handmade Scandia moss frames at Seongbok Happy Homeschool, a local children's center, and held a delivery ceremony.

The delivery ceremony was held on June 29 at Seongbok Happy Homeschool, located in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, and was attended by HomeCC Volunteer Corps employees. It was conducted in a simplified manner in compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.

Scandia moss, a natural moss from Northern Europe, is an eco-friendly air-purifying plant with both humidifying and dehumidifying effects. It is effective at regulating indoor humidity, removing odors, and eliminating harmful substances from the air.

This Scandia moss frame installation was planned by the HomeCC Volunteer Corps as a way to contribute to improving the indoor environments of local welfare facilities, and around 100 volunteer corps employees personally crafted the Scandia moss frames, adding meaning to the act of sharing.

KCC Glass established the HomeCC Volunteer Corps in March of this year, taking applications from employees, in order to encourage voluntary social contribution activities among its staff and to fulfill the company's social responsibility.

Beginning with this delivery of Scandia moss frames, the HomeCC Volunteer Corps plans to organize and carry out a variety of social contribution activities driven by employee participation. In particular, leveraging the strengths of HomeCC, a specialized interior brand, it plans to focus on improving the residential environments of socially vulnerable groups.

A HomeCC official said, "We hope that the Scandia moss frames will create a pleasant indoor environment and be of at least some help to the health of the children who use the homeschool," adding, "The HomeCC Volunteer Corps will continue to work to foster a culture of service among employees through various social contribution activities and to contribute to building a society where everyone is happy."
