Aspiring to Be a Company of Proper Ventilation Appliances
Himpel (CEO Kim Jung-hwan), a company committed to proper ventilation appliances, announced that it has carried out community contribution activities for underprivileged neighbors struggling amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
For about 10 years since 2010, Himpel has spread positive influence for a proper ventilation culture and for socially vulnerable groups every year, putting warm-hearted sharing into practice. Over the recent year-end and New Year season, the company actively took part in the Community Chest of Korea’s (Fruit of Love) “Practicing Love for Neighbors” fundraising campaign, donating about 12 million won to underprivileged neighbors along with a warm message of hope.
In addition, Himpel is continuing its outreach of sharing to foster a proper ventilation culture. Through an energy-welfare donation at the “2020 Seoul Energy Welfare Sharing Awards” hosted by the Seoul Council on Social Welfare, the company donated ventilation air purifiers (Huven S2) worth 13 million won, and it also donated ventilation air purifiers (Huven S2) worth 13 million won to four daycare centers in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.
Kim Jung-hwan, CEO of Himpel, said, “Even though this is a difficult and trying time for everyone due to COVID-19, I hope it can be a season in which we share the warm-hearted spirit of looking out for neighbors who are having an even harder time,” adding, “Going forward, Himpel will fulfill its role as a company of proper ventilation appliances through its sharing activities.”
Meanwhile, Himpel Co., Ltd. is an IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) specialist that manufactures bathroom exhaust fans and ventilation systems. Under its mission of “contributing to human health through air and energy technology,” the company produces superior ventilation equipment so that indoor air quality supports a healthy and comfortable life.
Himpel holds a 60% share of the domestic bathroom exhaust fan market, and its ventilation air purifiers (heat-recovery ventilators), which combine ventilation and air-purifying functions, have also drawn attention—establishing the company as Korea’s leading ventilation-appliance specialist and opening a new paradigm in ventilation. By exporting its products to the markets of Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Russia, Himpel won the “One Million Dollar Export Tower” award, showcasing its technological prowess and excellence around the world. In addition, the company completed Korea’s first zero-energy factory to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save energy.
