Ventilation systems delivered to the Rainbow Happiness Sharing program in Yeongdong-gun, Chungbuk
Improving indoor air quality for ventilation-based disease prevention at multi-use facilities
Himfel (CEO Kim Jung-hwan), a company specializing in proper ventilation appliances, is drawing attention with its social contribution activities for underprivileged groups vulnerable to fine dust and marginalized neighbors struggling with COVID-19.
On June 3, Himfel took part in the Rainbow Happiness Sharing program at the Yeongdong County Office in Chungbuk, holding a ceremony to deliver ventilation systems worth 30 million won.
Rainbow Happiness Sharing is a program run by Yeongdong-gun in Chungbuk to close welfare blind spots, in which the county looks after local residents and underprivileged groups, identifies those in need of support, and works in cooperation with the regional social security council.
Since 2010, for about 10 years, Himfel has practiced warm-hearted sharing each year, spreading a positive influence for a proper ventilation culture and for socially vulnerable groups. This past March, it selected small business owners struggling due to COVID-19 and, through the “Proper Ventilation Project” campaign to create safe, well-ventilated disease-prevention spaces using stand-type ventilation systems, has been sponsoring products worth 200 million won.
The sponsored product, the stand-type ventilation system “Huven S,” is equipped with a high-performance multi-filter system that removes fine dust as well as various airborne pollutants. Even without opening a window, it expels polluted indoor air outdoors and brings in fresh outdoor air, maintaining a comfortable air quality.
An official from the Yeongdong-gun Hope Welfare Support Team said, “The items donated to Yeongdong-gun this time are scheduled to be installed at facilities such as the welfare center for people with disabilities, the senior welfare center, and daycare centers. We are grateful that vulnerable groups can be the first to overcome COVID-19 and that our seniors and people with disabilities can stay healthy,” adding, “We had been concerned about supporting vulnerable groups amid the recent COVID-19 and fine dust situation, but this ventilation system sponsorship has given us an occasion to reflect on proper ventilation-based disease prevention, and we want to work hard to spread its adoption.”
Kim Jung-hwan, CEO of Himfel, said, “Even in these difficult and trying times for everyone due to COVID-19, I wanted to bring to my hometown the warm heart of caring for neighbors who are having an even harder time,” adding, “Going forward, we will actively take part in various initiatives to spread the realization of a proper ventilation culture.”
