Digital exhibition booths brought to life through Maison&Objet's online platform 'MOM'

Held in September 2020, the Maison&Objet exhibition took place as its first-ever 'online exhibition,' rather than the traditional offline format, amid the unstable international situation caused by COVID-19.

Running for 15 days from September 4 to 18, 2020, the online exhibition drew more than approximately 300,000 site visitors, tripling the number of potential buyers. During the exhibition, a wide range of information was provided through two daily online conferences, the newly launched podcast The Design Entrepreneurs, and product selections curated by figures from the design world. The online conferences can be viewed again on the Maison&Objet website (www.maison-objet.com).

More than 50,000 new products from 77 countries introduced

At the 2020 F/W Maison&Objet Online Exhibition, some 4,300 brands from 77 countries introduced more than 50,000 new products. It also proved its effectiveness by attracting around 210,000 people through dozens of online conferences and selections of the latest trending products. This online exhibition was composed of a Digital Showroom and Digital Talks; the Digital Showroom was held on MOM (www.mom.maison-objet. com), Maison&Objet's online platform, while the Digital Talks took place on the Maison&Objet website and social media platforms.

Digital Showroom In operation since 2016, MOM is Maison&Objet's online platform that connects 400,000 international buyers with brands. At this September online exhibition, buyers were able to discover the latest collections in a new type of showroom that digitally recreated the exhibition booths of the show floor.

Digital Talks Maison&Objet brought together the industry's leading curators, trend hunters, architects, designers, stylists, retailers, and manufacturers to run a talk program analyzing the latest trends and providing inspiration. Held in the form of online conferences, articles, and podcasts or live broadcasts, it offered up-to-date analysis through product selections and interviews. In particular, it drew attention as it focused on the 'home'—which has recently become a refuge amid COVID-19—amid continued interest in the environment and living spaces as a whole.
