Exhibits safety-focused solutions

Samhwa Paints Industrial Co., Ltd. took part in the '2025 International Road & Traffic Expo,' held from October 28 to 30 at KINTEX in Ilsan, where it showcased its latest paint products and technologies for applications such as lane marking and tunnels.

Now in its 10th edition, the '2025 International Road & Traffic Expo' is Korea's leading road and traffic exhibition, encompassing a wide range of road and traffic sectors including roads, construction, safety, and smart mobility. At this expo, Samhwa Paints unveiled its safety-focused S3 (Safety Three) high-performance solutions. The S3 solution is a term denoting safety at night and in rainy conditions, tunnel safety in the event of fire, and safety in children's protection zones, with each corresponding product being an irregular raised lane marking, a fireproof spray coating for tunnels, and an anti-slip material. The 'irregular raised lane marking' minimizes 'stealth lanes' that occur at night and in rainy weather, aiding safe driving with clear lane visibility. Featuring an uneven, textured lane shape, this product reflects headlight beams over a wider area and drains quickly, creating a safer traffic environment. The 'fireproof spray coating for tunnels' minimizes the collapse of a tunnel's steel structure and the generation of toxic gases in the event of a fire. This product has obtained UL 1709 certification from UL, a U.S. safety standards certification body, demonstrating its excellent fire-resistance performance. The 'anti-slip material' is a special paving material applied to road surfaces prone to slipping accidents, such as children's protection zones, walkways, and intersections, effectively preventing slipping accidents involving both pedestrians and vehicles. This product offers excellent anti-slip performance, adhesion, and abrasion resistance.

A Samhwa Paints official said, "There are many environments that everyone encounters easily in daily life but has grown so accustomed to that the dangers no longer feel dangerous," adding, "Roads are one of those dangers, and we are developing and launching consumer-centered products to create a safe and comfortable life."
