Hyundai Living Design signs renewed exclusive supply agreement with 3B S.p.A.
Separating cabinet body and door supply to overcome pricing, delivery, and quality-control challenges
Hyundai Living Design Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Hee-seok) has signed a renewed exclusive supply agreement with 3B S.p.A., an Italian kitchen door specialist, accelerating its expansion into the markets for reconstruction and redevelopment complexes and newly built premium apartments.
‘Bergamo Casa door’ (hereinafter 3B door), the kitchen door brand of Italy's 3B S.p.A., stands out for its luxurious designs—high-gloss, matte, wood, mirror, embossed, and more—and its superior processing technology represented by PET membrane technology. On this strength, it supplies dedicated door products to Europe's high-end kitchen furniture makers Boffi, Valcucine, and Bulthaup.
In Korea, it has already been supplied to large-scale apartment complexes, beginning with SK Engineering & Construction in 2016 (Songdo Leaders View, 2,100 households), followed by Gwangju Nongseong (842 households) and Incheon Luwon City (4,167 households). In particular, in an imported kitchen furniture market once dominated by finished-product supply, the 3B door has overcome challenges in pricing, delivery, and quality control by separating the supply of the cabinet body from that of the door.
The 3B door is being applied in large volumes by leading construction firms such as Daewoo Prugio, Hyosung Harrington, and Lotte, and continues to draw strong interest from developers, construction companies, and union members. It has completed delivery to about 12,000 households across 14 sites and is currently delivering to some 6,500 households across 6 sites.
In addition, to differentiate the pattern design of the 3B door, Hyundai Living Design has launched a new product, the ‘UNIKO door,’ alongside the J-PULL, two-piece, and membrane doors already recognized as bestsellers in the existing kitchen door market, and is strongly pursuing collaborations with major domestic furniture companies such as Hanssem, Hyundai Livart, and NEXT. The UNIKO door, featuring an innovative surface design that reproduces the textures of stone, concrete, and marble, was a Winner at the 2023 Red Dot Award.
CEO Park Hee-seok said, “By resolving the supply instability of imported kitchen furniture and the burden on construction companies caused by high product prices, we will expand our sales capacity targeting apartment reconstruction and new-build sites, and through close cooperation with our Italian headquarters, we will make it Korea's leading product in terms of both kitchen door design and quality.”
