Marking its 40th anniversary with a new CI embodying vision and innovation, and a business-division realignment for a second leap forward
To commemorate its 40th anniversary in September 2021, Samik Industries has unveiled a new corporate identity (CI) that embodies the company's vision and spirit of innovation, and has realigned its business divisions to embark on a second leap forward.
Samik Industries' new CI sheds its previously dated image and, reflecting the company's vision, has been reborn as a trendy, modern image suited to a new era. The three-dimensional, interconnecting cubes represent Samik's building-materials, windows-and-doors, and interior divisions, and their organically linked arrangement—through the synergy created among them—expresses Samik Industries' core values, which go beyond mere materials toward the future of living.
Samik Industries' reorganized business divisions are classified into Samik Building Materials, Samik Windows & Doors, and Samik Interior, enhancing both specialization and customer convenience. This reorganization reflects the company's resolve to grow into a business that customers need, grounded in its vision of creating a company with a 100-year history. Rather than concentrating on any single product line, Samik Industries distributes a diverse range of items—from timber to windows and doors and interior materials—enabling it to stay balanced and respond flexibly even amid unstable market conditions.
▲Samik Building Materials, the main division of Samik Industries, imports and distributes all the materials required for timber-frame housing on the largest scale in Korea. Its offerings include structural lumber that forms the framework of timber houses, glulam reflecting the latest trends, OBS with a variety of functions, and Rockwool non-combustible insulation, providing products tailored to consumer needs. Notably, in 2021 the company launched its heavy-timber pre-cut brand ‘Mega Beam,’ which has been drawing attention; by introducing heavy-timber pre-cut equipment at its Deokpyeong plant and deploying an automated machine lineup, it has dramatically shortened the time from order to shipment. ▲Samik Windows & Doors imports superior, high-performance German- and American-style PVC and aluminum system window-and-door profiles, processes them in-house, and delivers them to consumers. Through technical partnerships and exclusive-partner relationships with the world's leading window-and-door makers such as ‘Schüco’ and ‘Deceuninck,’ it presents a top-tier line of window and door products. In particular, its automated production lines produce windows and doors more precisely and quickly, and it strives to maintain the highest quality down to the parts that are not visible. ▲Samik Interior supplies imported overseas brands—dry veneer panels, concrete panels, solid-wood flooring, handles, paints, and more—to Korea's premium interior market in line with current trends.
In particular, dry veneer panels are a specialty product unique to Samik Industries; they bring out oak's inherent characteristics to create a variety of veneers and showcase solid patterns just as they appear in the original board. Dry veneer panels are applied to the kitchen furniture of domestic brands such as Hanssem, Livart, Enex, and LX Hausys, where their quality has been recognized. In addition, to lead the interior-materials sector and reflect consumers' needs, Samik Industries opened a showroom in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, last year, allowing visitors to see and experience Samik Industries' diverse products firsthand. At the showroom, customers can also consult with architecture and interior specialists, resulting in high levels of satisfaction.
Kim Young-hoon, director of Samik Industries, said, “We work tirelessly to quickly discover excellent building materials from overseas, introduce them to the domestic market, and elevate the value of residential spaces by another notch—because a single good remodeling project can transform the value of one's life. Our goal, and the company's direction, is to raise residents' satisfaction with fine materials and, ultimately, to enhance the value of life.” 1588-3648
