Exhibition theme ‘TERRA COSMOS’ selected
A cosmic vision of the future, with a focus on novelty, creativity and innovation

The September edition of ‘Maison&Objet,’ the decoration, design and lifestyle fair, will be held from September 5 to 9 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
Organized by SAFI since 1994, Maison&Objet has as its main goals fostering international exchange within the design, home décor and lifestyle industries, raising the profile of the brands taking part in the Maison&Objet fair and its digital platform, and developing trends. In particular, Paris Design Week, held every September, is an essential platform for all interior industry professionals.
In addition, MOM (Maison&Objet And More), unveiled in 2016, enables consumers and brands to communicate year-round, launch collections and build connections online. Its weekly new-product showcases continue to drive business across the industry, and in 2023 Maison&Objet introduced new digital services, transforming MOM into a marketplace.
▲The theme of the September fair, ‘TERRA COSMOS,’ interprets these new desires and expectations of consumers through awe-inspiring experiences. A cosmic vision of the future is the backdrop for this fair, which focuses on novelty, creativity and innovation. TERRA COSMOS showcases the universe’s inexhaustible new materials, presents multisensory experiences and explores the metaverse. At the September fair, curators François Delclaux and Elizabeth Leriche offer visitors clear, expert insight into the exhibition theme through their perspectives in the Retail and Deco sections. The space located in the <Hospitality> section is staged by the Designer of the Year.
▲For its <Designer of the Year>, which Maison&Objet selects for every edition, ‘Lionel Jadot’ from the hospitality industry has been chosen. Lionel Jadot—a leading Belgian designer, interior designer and artist—is a symbol of a rapidly changing era. At the September fair, he will present his interior design philosophy through a dedicated hall for hospitality spaces. He will deliver a completely new experience that sets itself apart from traditional hospitality spaces.
▲The designers selected for the <Rising Talent Awards> at the September Maison&Objet fair hail from Scandinavian countries—Sweden, Denmark, Norway, as well as Finland and Iceland. As per tradition, all of the winners are under 35 and have run their studios for less than five years. The Nordic countries are, on the whole, highly dynamic and renowned for their rich history, talent and expertise, and it is in Northern Europe that time, nature and materials exist in their most raw state.
