Building an integrated software ecosystem
Expanding the range of supported devices

Samsung Electronics is rolling out a software update that brings One UI to AI home appliances released since 2024.
Through this application of One UI to its AI appliances, Samsung Electronics is building an ecosystem that lets users make integrated use of helpful software features across a wide range of devices, including mobile, TV and home appliances.
Because various app services on AI appliances—such as Gallery, Bixby and Samsung TV Plus—support the same UI as mobile devices and TVs, users can enjoy a consistent experience across Samsung Electronics products.
This One UI update also further upgrades the various AI features already offered on existing appliances, and expands the range of supported devices.
First, Family Hub refrigerators and refrigerators equipped with an ‘AI Home’ touchscreen will support the ‘Now Brief’ feature, which automatically recommends personalized information based on the user’s location, time and usage habits.
‘Knox,’ Samsung Electronics’ own security solution, is also being applied to a wider range of appliances. ‘Knox Matrix,’ which provides threat detection and protection between devices connected via blockchain-based SmartThings, is being extended to a variety of product lines such as Wi-Fi-enabled 2024 refrigerators and washing machines.
For appliances such as refrigerators and washer-dryers equipped with 32-inch and 7-inch screens, the ‘Knox Dashboard’ feature is also being applied, allowing users to check the security status of connected mobile devices, TVs and appliances at a glance.
Samsung Electronics plans to provide free One UI upgrades for up to seven years for Wi-Fi-enabled appliances released since 2024, so that customers can continue to enjoy new AI features and powerful security performance throughout the product’s entire lifecycle.
