Support for Education and Networking Activities
KCC Glass, which operates the interior design brand 'Homecc Interior,' is continuing its efforts alongside Seocho-gu to help young people preparing for independence settle into society.
On March 15, at the Seocho-gu Office in Seoul, KCC Glass signed a business agreement together with Seocho-gu, the Bangbae Art Youth Center, and the Banpo Community Welfare Center to advance the 2024 'Dream Home CC' program.
The Dream Home CC program is a social contribution initiative that KCC Glass has run since last year. It supports young people who are preparing for independence, youth from families in intergenerational poverty, and out-of-school adolescents residing in Seocho-gu, providing systematic education and networking opportunities needed to prepare for independent living.
The program is run through two tracks: △the Care Project, an educational program that promotes emotional stability around themes such as self-understanding and career paths, and △the Creative Project, an educational program that supports economic independence around themes such as entrepreneurship, including operating online shopping malls. In addition, various networking activities are carried out to strengthen the bonds among participating youth, supporting their stable transition to standing on their own. Last year's Dream Home CC program drew some 40 participants who received a range of support. This year, KCC Glass plans to increase the number of beneficiaries to 45 and, in cooperation with Seocho-gu, to run a local resource linkage program in which shops that practice positive influence in the community also take part. Alongside this, the company plans to establish a youth support fund to expand assistance for young people in urgent need of financial help.
Beneficiaries of this year's 'Dream Home CC' program will be recruited in April, and detailed selection criteria and required documents can be found through the partner organizations and the Seocho-gu Office website.
