NOROO Paint

Publishes Sustainability Report

NOROO Paint has published its third NOROO SUSTAINABILITY REPORT, presenting its ESG management achievements and mid- to long-term implementation strategy.

For this report, the company newly introduced a “double materiality” assessment—a concept that simultaneously considers external environmental and social factors affecting a company’s financial position and the impact that corporate business activities have on the outside world.

In addition, through interviews and surveys targeting a range of stakeholders including employees, customers, suppliers and local communities, the company prioritized the impact that material issues have on sustainable management. The pool of material issues was derived by taking into account international standards and key issues in the industry, in accordance with the assessment methods presented by the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards and the ESRS.

To advance its ESG management, NOROO Paint has since 2020 shared with stakeholders, through its sustainability report, its goals and strategies regarding the social responsibilities a company should fulfill. The company expressed the outcomes of its social, economic and environmental activities in quantitative figures, and worked to secure the objectivity of the report by obtaining third-party verification from an external organization.

A NOROO Paint official said, “To advance our ESG management, we plan to continue gathering the opinions of stakeholders and adopting new initiatives and standards so as not to fall behind global trends,” adding, “Going forward, we will systematically manage our status and plans around the company’s key issues and disclose them transparently through our sustainability report.”
