Glass Processing Member Network
138 Total Certifications, 98 Companies

KCC Glass (CEO Chung Mong-ick), Korea's leading glass manufacturer, is actively pursuing 'quality management' by recruiting new members to its glass processing member network, the 'Glass e-MAX Club.'
KCC Glass announced that 'Gwangseong Glass Industry,' located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, and 'Shinhwa Insulating Glass,' located in Seo-gu, Incheon, have received Glass e-MAX Club certification and joined as new members.
The Glass e-MAX Club operated by KCC Glass is a glass processing company certification network launched in 2006 with the aim of providing customers with the highest quality and best service. This year, with the addition of new members including Gwangseong Glass Industry and Shinhwa Insulating Glass, along with Geumseong Insulating Glass, Aju Glass Industry, and Yujin Glass Industry, the network has expanded to 98 companies holding a total of 138 certifications.
To receive Glass e-MAX Club certification, a glass processing company must possess high-specification equipment and superior technology that exceed the standards required by KCC Glass, and must meet strict quality control criteria. In addition, even companies that have already been certified undergo periodic evaluations, and their certification is revoked if they fail to meet the standards. This year, KCC Glass revoked the certifications of two companies that fell short of the standards, continuing to strengthen quality control among Glass e-MAX Club members.
Because glass products must undergo a process of processing the raw glass sheet to suit their intended purpose and characteristics before consumers can use them in their final form, Glass e-MAX Club certification can serve as a benchmark that allows end consumers—who find it difficult to know the details of the processing—to purchase glass products with confidence. Products processed by Glass e-MAX Club member companies bear a logo engraved on one side of the glass indicating that they were processed by a Glass e-MAX Club certified company.
KCC Glass continues to share information and communicate with Glass e-MAX Club member companies through regular seminars, and is also working to enhance members' capabilities by providing ▴support for glass processing equipment investment, technical documentation support, support for handling consumer complaints and technical issues, support for obtaining KOLAS-accredited test reports, education and quality guidance, and connections to on-site processing infrastructure for special sales projects.
An official from KCC Glass said, "The Glass e-MAX Club is a certification network that symbolizes KCC Glass's quality management," adding, "We will continue to lead the domestic glass market through mutual growth with our member companies and strict, customer-centered quality control."
