Selected as an Eco-Friendly Management Leader

Recognized for Innovation in Eco-Friendly Product Development

KCC Glass (CEO Chung Mong-ik) has been selected as a ‘Korea Eco-Friendly Management Leader’ company at the ‘2023 Korea Management Award’ hosted by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC).

Launched in 1988 and now in its 36th year, the ‘Korea Management Award’ recognizes outstanding companies in each category based on a comprehensive evaluation of a company’s management capabilities and innovation activities.

KCC Glass earned the honor of this selection in recognition of its innovation in developing eco-friendly products, including △high-insulation glass △recycled-material film and △smart glass.

Last year, KCC Glass launched ‘MZT152’ of its ‘CULLINAN’ series, an architectural double low-E glass product with world-class insulation performance. This year, it renewed and unveiled ‘Vicenti Furniture,’ a furniture film that obtained the ‘Global Recycled Standard (GRS)’ certification through the application of recycled PET (R-PET) material. In addition, the company is currently developing smart glass that can improve heating and cooling efficiency by controlling sunlight transmittance with electrical signals.

A KCC Glass official said, “This selection is the result of our continued efforts to develop eco-friendly products to respond to climate change and secure new growth engines as part of our ESG management,” adding, “We will continue to lead the sustainable growth of the construction and interior markets by expanding the use of recycled raw materials and developing highly energy-efficient products.”

Meanwhile, in addition to developing eco-friendly products, KCC Glass is strengthening its ESG management by expanding social contribution activities and working toward shared growth with its partners. As a result, the company continues to build on its ESG management achievements, obtaining an integrated ‘A’ rating in the ESG evaluation released this year by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS), as well as the top ‘AA’ rating in Sustinvest’s ESG performance evaluation.
