A comprehensive collection of technical materials for building products, with search and download capabilities

Easily download on mobile devices and share via social media

KCC (CEO Chung Mong-jin) has built a ‘Building Materials Technical Portal’ on its official website, allowing customers to easily find technical materials related to building products in order to enhance customer convenience. By enabling dealerships and front-line sales sites to quickly and conveniently access the materials they need, the portal is expected to help expand sales capabilities through greater customer satisfaction.

The Building Materials Technical Portal, which KCC has introduced through its official website (www.kccworld.co.kr), comprehensively covers technical materials related to KCC’s various building products, including windows and doors, interior and exterior materials, and thermal insulation materials. The materials provided range widely, from catalogs containing detailed introductions to each product, to various certificates, official test reports, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), drawings, specifications, material approval documents, and construction case studies. Users can browse for the materials they need by product category or easily locate them through keyword searches.

In addition, the Building Materials Technical Portal offers a customer technical support service. At its Central Research Institute located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, KCC supports a range of product performance tests—including △fire resistance △thermal insulation and condensation △airtightness, watertightness, and wind pressure resistance △sound absorption and sound insulation—as an internationally accredited testing organization (KOLAS). Customers who wish to have such performance tests conducted can easily apply for testing through the KCC Building Materials Technical Portal. In addition, users can access calculations of the thermal transmittance (U-value) of building structures, as well as design application simulations for the ceiling product Myton.

The KCC Building Materials Technical Portal was developed with a focus on enhancing customer convenience, making it easy to use. Its UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) have been optimized so that users can find the materials they need intuitively and efficiently. It can also be used in mobile environments such as smartphones and tablets without installing a separate application, simply by accessing the KCC website. The materials provided can be downloaded to one’s own mobile device or sent directly to others via email or KakaoTalk.

Through the introduction of the Building Materials Technical Portal, KCC plans to enhance customer convenience while further strengthening the company’s sales capabilities. In particular, in line with recent changes in the work environment that actively utilize mobile devices, the company expects to boost customer satisfaction by implementing a system that anyone can easily use regardless of time or place. KCC intends to continue striving to strengthen its technological competitiveness to improve sales and operational efficiency, and to keep identifying changes in the work environment and the needs of its customers’ on-site staff in order to support them.
