Collaboration on Color Development for Residential Brands We've and We've the Zenith

Improving and Standardizing Color Design Manuals for Apartment Exteriors and Parking Facilities

KCC (CEO Jung Jae-hoon) announced that, drawing on its extensive color design expertise, it has signed a business agreement to develop specialized color designs for Doosan Engineering & Construction's residential brands.

Through this MOU, KCC plans to develop and standardize color manuals for the interior and exterior walls, underground parking lots, and ancillary facilities of Doosan's flagship residential brands, 'We've' and 'We've the Zenith,' and to produce dedicated color guides for distribution to all sites.

In addition, KCC will infuse its color sensibility into the five concepts of 'We've' and 'We've the Zenith'—△a space you truly want to own (Have), △a space filled with joy (Live), △a space of love and happiness (Love), △a space for thrifty living (Save), and △a space where everyday problems are solved (Solve)—adding practicality to sophisticated design.

In particular, KCC plans to develop colors with high visibility and clarity to create residential spaces that users can enjoy safely, and to ensure the safety of these spaces by applying color universal design that takes all groups into consideration, including the elderly and people with color vision deficiency.

When color universal design is applied to underground parking lots, which have relatively low visibility compared to other spaces, the use of color combinations and variations, along with differences in brightness and saturation in the guidance graphics on columns, walls, or floors, can help prevent collisions caused by wrong-way driving within the parking lot. The sophisticated design created through color combinations is also expected to make the atmosphere of underground parking lots noticeably brighter. Furthermore, using a color system that offers an eco-friendly, elegant appearance and high legibility, KCC plans to express a value distinct from other apartments through exterior designs that capture each apartment's identity.

An official from KCC's Color Design Center said, "Through the trend seminars we hold every year, our colors and designs have earned high praise from officials at many construction firms, including Doosan Engineering & Construction," adding, "We expect that through this MOU, KCC's accumulated color design capabilities will contribute to enhancing the value of Doosan's residential brands."
