KCC Launches ‘13-Year Window & Door Quality Guarantee Program’

KCC is offering a 13-year quality guarantee on window and door products for all customers who purchase and have residential KCC windows and doors installed at any of its 11 Home CC Interior stores nationwide.

Rather than covering only specific products, KCC's head office provides a quality guarantee directly on every KCC window and door product purchased at Home CC Interior. Customers can also enjoy the industry's longest guarantee period of up to 13 years without having to go through complicated procedures such as registering separately on a website after installation.

Accordingly, KCC will repair or replace products for 13 years in the event of structural defects such as deformation or warping of the window frame, or water and air leakage caused by damage to corner joints. For consumable parts—such as internal moisture in double-pane glass or damaged system window and door hardware—KCC guarantees quality for 5 years or 2 years depending on the case.

Windows and doors account for nearly half of the total cost of an interior renovation, making them relatively expensive compared to other materials, and they also have a long replacement cycle. Despite this, basic consumer rights such as quality guarantees and expert consultations for product comparisons have been overlooked.

With the launch of this quality guarantee program, KCC plans to take the lead in establishing a ‘10-year-plus window and door quality guarantee program,’ much like in Japan and the United States, where quality guarantees from window and door manufacturers have become standard.

In particular, the goal is to enable customers to purchase windows and doors with confidence and without anxiety or inconvenience, while fundamentally improving Korea's existing window and door market, which currently lacks expertise due to its complex distribution structure.

A KCC official said, “As a leading window and door company in Korea, we have introduced the ‘13-Year Window & Door Quality Guarantee Program’ out of confidence in our quality management and installation.” The official added, “Through the industry's longest guarantee period, KCC will focus on boosting consumer satisfaction while raising the overall quality of windows and doors.”
