Comprised of the online galleries ‘Signature Hall’ and ‘Special Exhibition Hall’

Expected to further strengthen the ultra-premium brand image

In line with the contactless trend, LG Electronics has opened an online gallery to showcase the artistic value of its ultra-premium ‘LG SIGNATURE’ brand.

On December 21, LG Electronics launched the ‘LG SIGNATURE Art Gallery (www.lgsignatureartgallery.com)’, which consists of a ‘Signature Hall’ and a ‘Special Exhibition Hall’. This marks the first time LG Electronics has opened an art gallery, whether online or offline. The planning and design of the gallery were handled by Professor Yoo Hyun-joon of Hongik University, a renowned architect in Korea.

The Signature Hall is divided into four zones, each showcasing a different product such as refrigerators, washing machines, TVs, and air conditioners. In each zone, exhibition designs and artistic performances inspired by the products blend with the products themselves to further highlight the artistic value of LG SIGNATURE. Customers can rotate the screen 360 degrees to enjoy the exhibitions from various angles.

The Special Exhibition Hall hosts special exhibitions by artists from Korea and abroad. It will regularly present exhibitions introducing works of art across various genres, offering customers a new space that leads art and culture. The general director of the special exhibitions is Kim No-am, an operating committee member of Culture Station Seoul 284 (the former Seoul Station building) and the head of Art Space Hue.

LG Electronics created the LG SIGNATURE Art Gallery as an art platform suited to the ‘ontact’ era, allowing many customers to appreciate works of art and LG SIGNATURE anytime, anywhere. The company expects the art gallery to effectively convey the value of LG SIGNATURE to customers and to further strengthen its ultra-premium brand image.

Anyone can visit the digital gallery via PC or mobile, regardless of time or place.

LG SIGNATURE is recognized in the global home appliance market for its overwhelming performance achieved through technological innovation, its refined design that stays true to the essence, and its intuitive usability unlike anything experienced before.

Architect Professor Yoo Hyun-joon said, “Just as LG SIGNATURE’s philosophy focuses on the essence of home appliances, the LG SIGNATURE Art Gallery focuses on space, which is the essence of architecture,” adding, “The space of the LG SIGNATURE Art Gallery was designed with inspiration from LG SIGNATURE, incorporating minimal curved and straight structures and an aesthetic of restraint.”

Park Kyoung-a, Vice President of Brand Communications at LG Electronics, said, “The LG SIGNATURE Art Gallery, a space that leads a new art and culture, will accompany customers in their refined, contactless cultural life.”

Meanwhile, the first special exhibition sponsored by LG SIGNATURE is ‘Reencountering Kim Whanki’s Constellations,’ a special exhibition of the late painter Kim Whanki, regarded as a pioneer of Korean abstract art. This special exhibition features a variety of attractions, including 10 of his works and a virtual space that recreates his New York atelier. The exhibition runs through March 14.
