A new standard for premium residences, premium double low-E glass

‘SKN176II’ delivers outstanding thermal insulation and a clear field of view

LX Glas is supplying double low-E glass to the largest-scale redevelopment project in Banghwa District 5.

The luxury apartments recently built through redevelopment share one thing in common: the use of ‘double low-E glass.’ As applying premium double low-E glass to each high-end complex has become a trend, interest is running high.

For example, LX Glas’s premium double low-E glass will also be supplied to Hyundai E&C’s ‘THE H Banghwa,’ which is scheduled for occupancy in August 2026. With 3,064 households across 29 buildings of up to 33 stories, THE H Banghwa is regarded as the largest redevelopment complex in Banghwa-dong. Banghwa-dong, one of Gangnam’s original affluent neighborhoods, is accelerating its redevelopment projects. Along with THE H Banghwa, high-end brands such as Raemian One Perla and Acro Ritz County are set to be sold, and Banghwa-dong is expected to be reborn as a premium residential district.

The product applied at THE H Banghwa is ‘SKN176II,’ LX Glas’s premium double low-E glass for residential use. Featuring a double coating of silver, it boasts outstanding thermal insulation performance. Its excellent solar-heat-blocking performance prevents interiors from heating up in summer, helping to reduce cooling costs, while its high visible-light transmittance keeps interiors bright and airy. In addition, its low interior reflectance ensures a clear field of view when looking outside, making it a high-performance glass product that is welcomed in luxury residential buildings whose strength lies in beautiful views.

Recently, LX Glas’s double low-E glass has been applied one after another as a premium material in landmark complexes that have secured the most prime locations, such as the Gangnam area and the Han River waterfront in Seoul. Following THE H Banghwa, LX Glas’s double low-E glass is also set to be supplied to ‘Raemian Trini One,’ the redevelopment of the third district of Banpo Jugong Complex 1.
