‘LX Z:IN Interior CAD Specialist Program’ Launched at Pai Chai University’s Employment Center
From the Second Semester, All Prospective Graduates Can Enroll Regardless of Major
LX Hausys has joined hands with Pai Chai University to begin training specialists who will contribute to the development of Korea’s interior design industry.
LX Hausys announced that on October 12, it signed the ‘LX Hausys–Pai Chai University Memorandum of Understanding for Training Interior Design Specialists’ at Pai Chai University, located in Seo-gu, Daejeon.
The core purpose of the MOU between the two parties is to train specialists through a field-tailored, hands-on interior design curriculum and to connect students who complete the program directly to employment, ultimately contributing to the revitalization of Korea’s interior design industry and the creation of jobs for young people.
Since the first semester of this year, LX Hausys and Pai Chai University have run a pilot ‘LX Z:IN Interior CAD Specialist’ program for prospective graduates hoping to find work in the interior design field, operated through the University Job Plus Center, Pai Chai University’s career center. Student response was positive—graduates of the program were hired as managers at LX Hausys’s Z:IN Square showrooms in the Chungcheong region, among others—leading to the launch of an official program with a capacity of 15 students starting in the second semester.
The ‘LX Z:IN Interior CAD Specialist’ program is a practical course that provides the foundational knowledge needed to find work in the interior design industry, comprising content such as hands-on training at Z:IN Square, the LX Z:IN interior design showroom, and at dealerships. Students who complete the program are given an interview opportunity directly, without a document screening, and—barring any particular disqualifying reasons—will be hired as managers at an LX Z:IN interior design dealership in their preferred region. An interior design manager is a position covering work that spans customer consultation, design, and on-site management, with the workplace being LX Z:IN interior design Z:IN Square showrooms nationwide.
Meanwhile, following Daejin University and Inje University earlier this year, LX Hausys has now signed its third industry-academia partnership for training interior design personnel, this time with Pai Chai University. The programs at Daejin University and Inje University are currently in operation, and once they conclude in December, the company plans to offer participants the opportunity to be hired as dealership managers.
Going forward, LX Hausys plans to expand its industry-academia partnerships with universities across major regions nationwide, actively supporting the creation of youth jobs and helping to ease the difficulties faced by small and medium-sized interior design dealerships that struggle to secure new personnel.
At the signing ceremony, Choi Young-il, Executive Director and Head of LX Hausys’s Interior Design Business Division, said, “Through our partnership with Pai Chai University, we are grateful to be able to contribute not only to revitalizing Korea’s interior design industry but also to creating jobs for young people.” Pai Chai University President Kim Sun-jae said, “Through mutual cooperation with LX Hausys, a leading company in Korea’s interior design field, we believe this will be a great opportunity to train specialists, contribute to industry development, and help students secure employment.”
