LX Hausys–Daejin University Sign MOU to Train Specialists
Employment-Linked Program to Train Z:IN Interior Home Planning Specialists
LX Hausys has joined hands with Daejin University to begin full-scale efforts to create jobs for young people by cultivating talent for Korea's interior design industry.
In connection with this, LX Hausys signed the “LX Hausys–Daejin University MOU for Training Interior Home Planning Specialists” at Daejin University, located in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province.
The core aim of the agreement between the two parties is to train specialists through a field-tailored, hands-on interior design curriculum and to link students who complete the program directly to employment, ultimately contributing to the growth of the domestic interior design industry and the creation of jobs for young people.
To begin with, LX Hausys and Daejin University will establish a new course, “Training LX Z:IN Interior Home Planning Specialists,” as a fourth-year major subject within the “Living Home Tech Convergence Major” program of Daejin University's College of Human IT Engineering.
The three-credit course has a capacity of 25 students, and the curriculum comprises a range of lectures covering topics such as understanding the interior design industry and the sales process, along with hands-on training during the summer break at Z:IN Square—the LX Z:IN interior showroom—and at dealerships.
Graduating students who complete the practical training will be given interview opportunities directly, without a document screening. Barring any particular disqualifying factors, they are expected to be hired as managers at LX Z:IN interior dealerships nationwide starting this August, subject to their own wishes and additional recruitment procedures.
A dealership manager is a position responsible for overseeing everything from interior design consultations to sales and on-site management, with the workplace being LX Z:IN Interior Z:IN Square showrooms nationwide. Going forward, the two parties plan to establish a separate department dedicated to training talent for the interior design industry, operate it in a more segmented manner by year level, and develop it into a more systematic curriculum.
Separately, LX Hausys plans to expand its industry-academia cooperative programs for training interior design talent to leading universities in major regions across the country, actively supporting small and mid-sized interior design dealerships that are struggling to secure new personnel.
