Engineered stone, sliding-door handle, and wallcovering sample book win top honors
Company vows to continue offering interior products with original designs
LX Hausys has once again proven its global design competitiveness by winning three top awards at the ‘iF Design Award,’ regarded as one of the world’s three most prestigious design awards.
LX Hausys announced that it received three top awards at the ‘iF (International Forum) Design Award 2022,’ with its engineered stone ‘VIATERA – Real Stone Quartz’ and its sliding-door handle ‘The Lever’ winning top awards in the product category, and the ‘Fiancée·Besti Wallcovering Sample Book’ winning a top award in the communication category.
‘VIATERA – Real Stone Quartz’ won the top award in the ‘Textiles/Wall & Floor Coverings product category,’ earning high marks for its design originality in faithfully reproducing the deep, distinctive surface texture unique to natural stone.
‘The Lever’ won the top award in the ‘Building Technology product category,’ receiving favorable evaluations for enhancing the handle’s ease of use—allowing sliding doors to be opened and closed easily with little force—while also achieving a slim design.
In addition, the ‘Fiancée·Besti Wallcovering Sample Book,’ which is organized in a convenient, user-centered way so that customers can easily choose a wallcovering design to suit their lifestyle preferences, won the top award in the ‘Communication Print Media category.’
With these awards, LX Hausys has now won a total of 37 awards at the ‘iF Design Award,’ along with 14 at the ‘Red Dot Design Award’ and 8 at the ‘IDEA Design Award,’ producing a total of 59 award-winning works across the world’s three major design awards and earning recognition as a company leading the domestic interior design field.

Meanwhile, the iF (International Forum) Design Award is an award that began in 1953 under the auspices of Germany’s International Forum. Each year it announces its winners based on a comprehensive evaluation of design distinctiveness and impact across a total of nine categories, including product, packaging, communication, concept, interior, architecture, service design, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI). Along with the IDEA of the United States and the Red Dot Design Award of Germany, it is recognized as one of the most authoritative international design awards.
