Selected as a ‘National Human Resources Development Consortium’ institution, with all courses free of charge

Graduates linked to employment with LX Hausys construction partner companies

‘LX Z:IN Interior Academy,’ LX Hausys’ interior construction training institution, has been selected as an ‘Operating Institution for the National Human Resources Development Consortium Project’ and is beginning in earnest to cultivate specialized construction personnel.

The ‘National Human Resources Development Consortium Project’ is a program overseen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. As part of mutually beneficial cooperation between large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises, it selects institutions providing workforce development and vocational competency enhancement training and supports the training costs of those institutions.

Accordingly, LX Hausys will operate all training courses related to cultivating specialized interior construction personnel run by the ‘LX Z:IN Interior Academy’ with project funding provided by the government, and participants in the courses will be able to receive training free of charge without any separate participation fee.

The first ‘New Construction Workforce Training Course,’ aimed at members of the general public interested in interior construction, drew intense interest, with about 800 people applying for 70 training spots—a competition ratio exceeding 11 to 1. In particular, interest among the younger generation was high, with applicants in their 20s and 30s accounting for 60% of the total.

Over the following three weeks, the 70 trainees will receive instruction covering various products and job theory needed for interior construction—such as windows and doors, kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring—along with field-tailored hands-on training. Trainees who complete the course will be connected to employment with LX Hausys’ construction partner companies and, according to their own wishes, may work as specialized construction personnel in the domestic interior market.

LX Hausys plans to run the ‘New Construction Workforce Training Course’ a total of five times, in March, May, July, September, and November. Recruitment announcements for each course are conducted starting two months before it begins, through the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s vocational training portal HRD-Net (https://www.hrd.go.kr) and online recruitment portals such as JobKorea. Anyone interested in interior construction can apply, with no separate requirements regarding educational background, age, or the like.

Through this, LX Hausys expects not only to ease the concerns of small and medium-sized construction partner companies that are struggling to secure new personnel, but also to contribute to creating jobs for young people by cultivating specialized technical personnel who have completed a systematic course.

Meanwhile, the ‘LX Z:IN Interior Academy’ is the industry’s largest training facility and the only interior construction workforce training institution in Korea equipped with lodging facilities. It plans to run approximately 160 training courses per year—ranging from new courses for the general public to step-by-step advancement training for employees and partner company staff—and to cultivate some 3,000 specialized construction personnel.

An LX Hausys official said, “Now that the ‘LX Z:IN Interior Academy’ has been selected as a joint training center receiving government funding, we will provide top-quality education and continue to cultivate master builders who contribute to the development of the domestic interior industry,” adding, “Through this, we will go on to provide the flawless construction service unique to LX Z:IN in the domestic interior market and enhance customer satisfaction.”
