Vegan-Certified Mattresses
Putting the Three Key Safety Principles Into Practice

N32, Simmons' vegan mattress collection, has opened its flagship store, the 'N32 Studio Nonhyeon,' in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Rather than a department store or mall-type outlet, this is N32's first road shop.
N32 is the first mattress collection in Korea's bedding industry to use no animal-derived materials across its entire lineup and to obtain vegan certification. Spanning about 90 pyeong, the N32 Studio Nonhyeon offers a glimpse of N32's distinctive philosophy—customer-centered management and the pursuit of a sustainable future—not only in its products but also in its interior design, staff titles, and uniforms. Departing from the look of a conventional bed store, the interior is decorated with various sculptures, carpets, and objets that evoke the healing blue of nature simply at a glance. The uniforms worn by the N32 crew were produced in collaboration with 'RE;CODE,' the upcycling fashion brand of Kolon Industries' FnC Division (Kolon FnC). By using vegan and upcycled materials, N32 said the uniforms are designed to remind customers of the value of a sustainable future. The fabric and padding of all N32 products use the vegan materials 'Iceland SeaCell' and 'linen.' Iceland SeaCell is a vegan material that is biodegradable and returns to nature. It contains organic seaweed from Iceland's pristine regions and cellulose, a dietary fiber. To this is added linen, a plant-based material with excellent breathability. Beyond vegan certification, N32 looks after consumers' health and safety by putting three key safety principles into practice: state-certified eco-friendly certification, radon- and thoron-safe product certification, and the production of flame-retardant mattresses that resist burning.
