Hyundai E&C, in Two Categories
ESG Management in the Landscaping Field

Hyundai E&C won awards in the Sports & Recreation category and the Building Materials category at the ‘USA Good Design® Award’ on December 15 last year.
The ‘USA Good Design Award,’ held since 1950, is the world’s oldest design award. It is organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design in the United States, where a group of world-renowned design experts evaluates works in each field across various areas such as innovation and artistry to select the best designs. Winning in the Sports & Recreation category, the ‘Big Net Playground’ at Hillstate Prugio Juan is a large play facility combining a jungle gym and a slide. With a height and scale that set it apart from other playgrounds, it has established itself as a landmark element within the complex.
The net-shaped frame and the slide rising up to 9 meters not only offer sculptural beauty but also pass all of the stringent safety management standards, earning high praise for fully securing safety in addition to outstanding design.
Winning in the Building Materials category, the ‘H Wave Wall’ at Hillstate Pohang is a sculptural partition wall located in front of the lower-floor units. It stood out for naturally realizing waves—motivated by Pohang’s local identity—in a variety of pastel colors. In particular, it was highly praised for realizing an eco-friendly product made by mixing recycled cosmetic bottles with ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) in a way that residents can experience in their daily lives.
