Strengthening product competitiveness and the purchasing experience in step with the shift to online consumption

Bidet, filter, and remodeling product lines record sales growth from January through October

Daelim Bath, Korea's No. 1 bathroom company, announced that sales at its online mall 'Daelim Mall' rose 82% year-on-year amid the growing demand for online-based interior services. As more consumers look to compare and purchase bathroom interiors and related products together through online channels, the company explained that Daelim Mall is strengthening its position as a specialized bathroom platform.

According to Daelim Bath, from January through October this year all product categories — △bidets △filters △remodeling products — posted growth compared with the previous year. Daelim Bath analyzed that reinforcing product competitiveness and the in-mall purchasing experience simultaneously, in line with the shift toward online consumption, drove the sales increase. As demand for bathroom interiors rapidly expands from a focus on offline showrooms to online consultations and non-face-to-face purchasing, demand is growing for an environment where high-quality bathroom products can be easily selected and linked to installation, all from home.

In particular, the bidet segment led the performance gains with a 129% jump in sales. Subdividing the bidet lineup and expanding the share of AI bidet products built on technologies such as automatic temperature control proved effective in capturing both premium and value-oriented demand. The filter segment likewise recorded 80% sales growth year-on-year, driven by a sharp rise in sales of the 'Rotating Water Tap for Washbasins' — nicknamed the 'baby faucet' and emerging as a childcare essential.

Sales of the remodeling product line grew 26% through the enhancement of customized bathroom package offerings. Daelim Bath provides packages organized by spatial concept along with price-tier selection options, subdivided so that customers can easily design a premium bathroom even online. The company proposes a variety of hotel-style bathroom packages combining its recently launched premium faucet 'Black Collection,' high-end integrated bidets, and large porcelain tiles, presenting a 'complete bathroom space' that goes beyond the simple sale of products.

Oh Jae-hyung, leader of Daelim Bath's O2O Team, said, "Daelim Mall's sales growth shows that bathroom interior consumption is expanding in earnest beyond offline to an online-centered market," adding, "We plan to continue strengthening our quality competitiveness and advancing our services so that consumers can choose from a wide range of bathroom products at reasonable prices."

Meanwhile, Daelim Bath is ramping up its push into domestic and overseas e-commerce markets, launching official sales of its 'Multi-Filter Showerhead' through Amazon in the U.S. and introducing Coupang's Rocket Installation service in Korea. Its strategy is to raise its competitiveness across sales channels by increasing collaboration with a variety of online platforms, while gradually expanding its brand awareness and influence in the global market.
