The Bosch Power Tools Division (Division Head Park Jin-hong) announced the launch of the 'GGS 18V-23 LC,' an 18V straight grinder with enhanced power and reinforced safety features.
The newly launched 'GGS 18V-23 LC' straight grinder boasts a powerful 1,000W output thanks to its high-output brushless EC motor. It enables efficient work in power-demanding tasks such as grinding, deburring, surface grinding, polishing, finishing, and cutting, and its robustness makes it especially efficient for cutting work.
In addition, the new product is equipped with a variety of safety features that maximize user safety during operation. These include: △a Kickback Control function that automatically stops the tool to prevent accidents in the event of sudden recoil when the disc jams in the material; △a Restart Protection function that, when the tool has stopped due to the Kickback Control function or a disconnected cord, requires the switch to be turned off and on again before the tool restarts, for safety; △a Brake function that rapidly stops the motor when power is turned off, reducing stopping time by up to 70%; and △a Soft Start function that starts the tool slowly and smoothly to prevent accidents caused by abrupt operation. In addition, its slim grip size and connectivity function provide outstanding convenience. The connectivity function is a Bluetooth feature that enables a connection between the tool and a mobile device, allowing users to perform various controls—such as soft start control and battery overload alerts—via their mobile device even when away from the tool. To use the connectivity function, the connectivity module GCY 30-4 must be purchased separately.
The 'GGS 18V-23 LC' is a bare-tool product, comprising the main body, one L-Boxx, one inlay, two wrenches, one 6 mm collet, and a user manual. Furthermore, with an additional battery purchase, it is 100% compatible with all of Bosch's 18V lithium-ion professional tools, making it highly useful and economical. It is also compatible with standard 6 mm and 8 mm collet accessories, allowing it to be used for a variety of purposes.
