Gunlari Wallpaper has launched its 2018 Silk Wallpaper new-product art book. The concept of this 2018 art book is “The Story of a Space Filled with Time and Care,” and it is developed across three themes based on the trend of pursuing a comfortable life and mental well-being.

While preferences vary, the trend toward spaces filled to a minimum, without excess, continues to enjoy popularity in today’s complex society. Reflecting this flow, the art book is characterized by minimizing decorative expression and instead bringing out a sense of reality. In addition, the art book concentrates on detailed rendering and aims for wallpaper that is simple yet highly refined.

Soft edge – A soft space with depth. This wallpaper, which brings out the details of fabric for a more realistic expression, pursues a variety of solid fabric looks by varying the surface finish—matte or glossy—depending on the pattern. Generally non-directional, it recreates the appearance of actual textiles through subtle fabric embossing, while the matte surface of the solid paint pattern draws out a realistic sense of texture to the fullest. Alongside basic achromatic tones such as white, ivory, and gray, it is composed of calm, modern colors including gray blue and khaki.

Colorful light – A space filled with colorful light. A glossy sheen is added to colors that create a warm, abundant atmosphere for a more luxurious feel. The non-directional, subtle fabric wallpaper, together with a soft pearlescent effect, evokes a sophisticated mood and helps create elegant spaces with a modern sensibility. It is composed of dignified, calm colors such as warm gray, wine, and navy.

Natural touch – A space imbued with the comfort of nature. The form of gently unfolding leaves is expressed in soft, curved lines, realistically conveying a soft texture. Warm gray and mid-to-low-saturation pastel colors help create spaces that are soft yet substantial. It is composed of colors that evoke an elegant mood, such as peach, pink, warm gray, mint, and violet. 02-3473-0056
