SKC Eco Solutions, SKC's subsidiary specializing in eco-friendly film materials, has launched ‘SKC EcoDeco Film,’ an eco-friendly, high-performance product for architectural interiors. The new ‘SKC EcoDeco Film’ is an eco-friendly film that can be used in place of paint. Following the launch of its exterior product last October, SKC Eco Solutions has now released an interior product, completing its lineup of architectural interior and exterior films. The outer layer of ‘SKC EcoDeco Film’ is made of 100% fluorine, giving it excellent resistance to salt, chemicals, and other substances, as well as strong resistance to staining. In addition, it has earned the Ministry of Environment's Eco-Label in recognition of its eco-friendliness, as it does not emit heavy metals, toluene, or formaldehyde. With excellent durability and versatility, it is an architectural film that lasts more than 20 years while being able to express a variety of looks such as metal, marble, and natural wood. In addition, ‘SKC EcoDeco Film’ offers the various functional properties required of interior materials. It received a Grade 1 rating for anti-mold performance from the international certification body SGS, and its antibacterial efficacy was confirmed at 97% against Staphylococcus aureus and 51.4% against pneumonia bacteria. It also obtained fire-related flame-retardant certification from the Korea Fire Institute, adding the functionality that interior materials must have. Because it is a film applied over existing interior materials, it also offers the advantage of reducing construction waste. To commemorate the launch, SKC Eco Solutions sponsored interior film installation at a large kindergarten in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, and plans to expand its applications to hospitals, care facilities, schools, and more. An SKC Eco Solutions official said, “The new SKC EcoDeco Film is a premium interior film born from more than a decade of expertise in manufacturing fluorine film for protecting solar panels,” adding, “We will further strengthen the efforts we have made to solve social problems such as energy, fine dust, and disease through materials technology, and contribute to creating eco-friendly living spaces.” 070-7464-1099
