Global home furnishings company IKEA has unveiled the 'Brännboll Collection,' inspired by evolving gaming needs, and it is winning a positive response from consumers.

'Brännboll' is a smart solution for casual gamers who value style and function while enjoying games in a relaxed posture, whether with others or across a variety of platforms. The products build on IKEA's first-ever gaming series, launched in 2021 with the gaming brand 'ROG.' IKEA developed this collection in recognition of how gaming has today become a hobby that people of all ages can enjoy at home using a range of devices. Comprising versatile furniture, storage solutions and accessories, 'Brännboll' creates an immersive gaming environment while blending naturally into daily life thanks to a flexibility that lets it be used throughout the home. Moving away from the typical, predominantly dark-toned gaming design themes, it is also characterized by a vibrancy inspired by street sports and athleisure. Focusing on the comfort and performance essential to gaming, the designs also capture the energy and dynamism of sporting competition. Key products include ergonomic chairs such as the 'Gaming Easy Chair,' which sways from side to side with every movement to heighten a gamer's physical immersion and deliver a dynamic gaming experience, and an inflatable gaming 'Lounge Chair.' There is also the 'Gaming Station,' which features a folding tabletop, PC tower storage and cable management so it can serve as both a dedicated gaming space and storage, along with 'storage solutions' such as a wall-mounted display cabinet, a shelf unit on casters, a mobile side table and a multipurpose basket, as well as accessories including a gaming mouse pad.

An IKEA representative said, "Based on the idea that gaming is an activity anyone can enjoy anywhere in the home, we wanted to create products that let people set up spaces suited to both gaming and everyday life," adding, "We hope many people can enjoy gaming with friends and family and build bonds together with Brännboll." A designer at IKEA's product development and production headquarters went on to explain, "Inspired by the way people move when playing video games, we wanted to create a chair that moves with the player's movements," noting, "Through this kind of interaction, people will be able to immerse themselves in games more effectively."

Meanwhile, 'Brännboll' is available at all IKEA Korea stores, on the official online store and app, and through 'Hej Order,' the remote ordering service offered by phone or chat. 1670-4532
