Kyungdong Navien announced that it is launching a boiler subscription to deliver comfortable heating and a hot-water lifestyle all year round.

The subscription product is priced in the range of KRW 10,000–30,000 per month and provides free after-sales service (A/S) as well as a boiler expert care service once a year. Boilers are often located in inconspicuous places such as utility rooms, making them easy to neglect in terms of maintenance. As a result, it is difficult to detect performance degradation or minor malfunctions, and when a breakdown occurs, the inability to use hot water and heating causes significant inconvenience. In response, Kyungdong Navien plans to prevent breakdowns and performance degradation in advance through regular expert care services, while improving energy efficiency and enhancing ease of use. There are three subscription models in total: the Navien Condensing ▲ON AI NCB753 and ▲NCB553, which feature fast and ample hot-water use, and the ▲NCB354 condensing gas boiler offered at a reasonable price. In particular, the ‘Navien Condensing ON AI’ is a boiler with greatly enhanced hot-water functionality; using its Hot Water Ready system, hot water can be used within 10 seconds—93% faster than conventional boilers. Kyungdong Navien is enhancing price competitiveness and consumer convenience through its own subscription business. Rather than partnering with other rental companies, it handles everything directly from the subscription contract to product care, providing high-quality service at a reasonable price. During the subscription period, free A/S and regular care services from Navien Partners are also provided. Once a year, technicians visit the customer’s home to check the flue and alarms, inspect safety, and measure the boiler’s thermal efficiency. In addition, they replace the heating water filter that screens out foreign substances inside the boiler piping, as well as clean the siphon—which discharges condensate and prevents the inflow of exhaust gas—to keep the boiler’s performance in optimal condition. Consulting is also provided to guide customers on hot-water and heating usage methods suited to their household living environment, as well as ways to save energy.

A Kyungdong Navien official said, “Through subscription, we provide products and care services optimized for consumers’ lives,” adding, “In particular, through the Navien Condensing ON AI, we will raise interest in the boiler as a four-season home appliance and deliver a better hot-water lifestyle.”

Meanwhile, after launching air purifier rental and care services in 2023, Kyungdong Navien has this year converted them into subscriptions, diversified subscription periods, and expanded its lineup to include boilers, sleep mattresses, and kitchen appliances. 1588-1144
