Winiaid, part of the Daeyu Winia Group, has launched its high-purity 'Real Carbon Mat' to make inroads into the heating appliance market.
The newly introduced 'Winia Real Carbon Mat' is a high-purity carbon product with 97% purity manufactured by affiliate Daeyu Plus. The Winia 'Real Carbon Mat' features low power consumption (DC 24V), high efficiency, excellent electrical conductivity, and superior corrosion resistance. In particular, the new product emits warm far-infrared radiant heat from its heating wires, which are carbon heating elements. A test commissioned to the Far Infrared Association of Korea confirmed a far-infrared emissivity of 90% or higher. In addition, for safety, the product has completed all inspections by specialized institutions, including a non-detection test for radon—a Class 1 carcinogen—antibacterial tests for E. coli and Staphylococcus, and a product deodorization test. It has also completed a washable test through the Korea Testing Laboratory, allowing up to five machine washes so that the mat can be used safely and hygienically for a long time even when folded or exposed to water.
Furthermore, it has completed Electromagnetic Field (EMF) environmental certification regarding electromagnetic waves harmful to the human body. On top of this, it adds a 6-way safety system, including: ▲an automatic timer function that cuts off power during prolonged use ▲prevention of heating wire overheating through temperature sensor detection ▲shutoff upon detection of a heating wire malfunction ▲automatic power shutoff in case of overcurrent ▲a built-in bimetal that prevents overheating ▲a child lock function that prevents malfunction and accidents caused by children. Another advantage of the 'Winia Real Carbon Mat' is that mode selection is intuitive and simple via a wired remote control. The main modes—heat compress (jjimjil) and warming modes—are configured separately as buttons, and the desired temperature can be adjusted across nine levels. The Queen model also adds a separate heating function that allows the left and right temperatures to be controlled independently.
A Winiaid official stated, "The Winia Real Carbon Mat is our first warming appliance, a new product that applies domestically produced high-purity carbon," adding, "We will actively target the heating appliance market with quality and performance befitting the status of the Winia brand."
