Kyowon Wells is expanding its plant cultivator business from vegetables to flowers. To this end, Kyowon Wells has launched ‘Florin,’ a flower-seedling subscription product.
‘Florin’ is a subscription product that combines a plant cultivator specialized for growing flowers with a regular flower-seedling delivery service. After planting young flower seedlings in ‘Florin’ and adding water and nutrient solution in the correct proportions, even beginners can easily grow flowers at home, and the fully grown flowers can be used for indoor décor or as gifts. ‘Florin’ comes in a range of colors, with 4 top covers (beige, green, yellow, pink) and 2 pot bases (beige, green). A total of 7 seedling varieties are offered: ▲Cockscomb ▲Melampodium ▲Gazania ▲Marigold ▲Snapdragon ▲Calendula ▲Torenia. All seedlings are grown in a sterile, pesticide-free environment at the ‘Wells Smart Farm Factory,’ a state-of-the-art eco-friendly hydroponic facility, and are delivered to homes every two months via a cold-chain system.
Kyowon Wells is also introducing services exclusive to ‘Florin.’ These include a ‘Thank-You Visit Service,’ in which a Wells manager visits within one month of seedling delivery to explain everything from how to use the product to cultivation methods for each seedling variety, as well as a real-time one-on-one chat consultation service through the ‘Florin-exclusive KakaoTalk channel.’ Customers who wish to use ‘Florin’ can purchase the dedicated Florin device and subscribe to the regular seedling subscription service. Depending on the color, the device is priced at 129,000 won for the standard model and 134,000 won for the option model. The regular seedling subscription fee is 18,900 won per month based on a one-year contract.
An official from Kyowon Wells said, “We introduced Florin to reflect the growing interest in home gardening,” adding, “Florin is a product that delivers both emotional healing and a sensory interior effect.” 1588-4113
