In keeping with the latest trends, Gujeong Maru has been earning praise from designers and consumers alike with everything from colorful flooring to distinctively designed floors. In particular, its recently launched new 'Chevron and Hexagon' floor patterns feature a design that sets them apart from conventional flooring, making them a perfect fit for consumers who want an accent flooring that is both sophisticated and distinctive.
Located on Cafe Street in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, 'My Ellen' is a multi-brand shop for imported children's clothing, with its interior designed by JJ Design. Because it is a commercial space for children, the bounding energy of spring and the dynamic spirit of children were expressed through color. In particular, a color mix-and-match that draws on the pattern characteristics of Gujeong's 'Chevron' flooring carried the vibrant atmosphere all the way down to the floor. My Ellen is the first installation site to use color mix-and-match with Gujeong Chevron flooring—a space that involved repeated thought about how best to maximize the Chevron's distinctive pattern, since a wide variety of looks are possible depending on how the colors are matched. Gujeong Maru's other new product, the 'Hexagon' flooring, was arranged to flow naturally from inside the fitting room outward, creating a sophisticated feel that, though a small space, has a special charm without being overshadowed by the Chevron's splendor. The 'Hexagon' flooring applies to floors a pattern previously available only in tile, making it a perfect fit for spaces where you want to add an accent.
This space, designed by art director Choi Ho-jun and design director Park Ji-hyun, was conceived with the Musée d'Orsay in Paris in mind. Although the showroom is small in scale, the designers wanted to create the feel of a warm gallery, so they applied Gujeong Chevron Oak Classic to the flooring. Gujeong Chevron is a parallelogram flooring material that creates a symmetrical, precisely angled V-shape—a stylish and appealing pattern. In particular, Chevron Oak Classic is a pattern design with calm color tones that give a sophisticated yet warm feeling.
The Gwanggyo house designed by Dal&Style is a home occupied by a family with children. The client requested that color be used to add accents, reflecting the family's tastes. Accordingly, the designer added color to a modern design with a black-and-white base to create a lively atmosphere, and completed the children's room in vivid hues so that the space itself becomes cheerful. The focus was on avoiding primary colors, which can easily become tiresome, and lowering the saturation to create a stable yet colorful home. In particular, the living room was divided diagonally into white and navy for a crisp contrast, and accents were added to the herringbone-pattern flooring by inserting single pieces of Gujeong mix-and-match flooring in toned-down red, yellow, and blue. Mix-and-match makes it possible to complete a unique space through free and bold color combinations. The children's room applied mix-and-match, with red, yellow, white, and blue colors connecting vertically from the floor to the top of the wall, creating a dynamic space that children love. 031-766-0700
