Hankuk Glass, a leader in Korea's glass industry, has launched three gray-colored double Low-E glass products.

With its distinctive sense of sophistication, the gray color satisfies the aesthetic requirements of building exteriors and is widely preferred as exterior glass for commercial buildings in the construction market.

As its name suggests, the three double Low-E glass products launched by Hankuk Glass—the 'Real Grey Series'—were developed with a focus on color, conveying the meaning of a 'true gray color.' With both the transmitted and reflected colors of the glass rendered in a neutral gray, the lineup was expanded to broaden consumer choice: ▲'SKG149II' in Cool Grey, ▲'SKG144II' in Classic Grey, and ▲'SKG139II' in Dark Grey—three products that can be selected to match a building's concept.

In addition, the new products deliver outstanding thermal insulation performance to meet the standards for zero-energy buildings and the strengthened insulation regulations. Their insulation performance is identical to that of the SKN154II—the best-selling product among Hankuk Glass's double Low-E glass line, applied to schools, government offices, and large high-rise buildings thanks to its excellent insulation performance.

Hankuk Glass holds the No. 1 market share in the double Low-E glass market, with cumulative domestic sales of approximately 7 million ㎡. This volume is more than twice the area of Yeouido. Living up to its status as a leader in double Low-E glass, the company aims to expand its market influence through this launch, strengthening its product lineup with the addition of gray following Light Blue, Neutral, and Silver.

A Hankuk Glass official said, "The most important focus in developing these products was a gray color differentiated from existing coated glass. In addition to conducting market research to create the color consumers want, we developed the products so that both the color seen when blinds are lowered and the reflected color would be rendered in a neutral gray," adding, "Because we focused on enhancing the exterior beauty of buildings, these products can be applied to many modern buildings."
