'Hapel Sleep Care,' the flagship product of Global Hitech Electronics (CEO Oh Jeong-gi), is a combined cooling-and-heating mat that can be used year-round thanks to its application of semiconductor thermoelectric element technology.
The product features an all-in-one design that provides both cooling and heating in a single unit, eliminating the need for long-term storage, and it includes air purification and continuous water sterilization functions. In addition, it is the only product in Korea to use three thermoelectric elements, boosting energy performance and efficiency while dramatically lowering the burden of electricity costs. With an average power consumption of just 102W, the monthly electricity bill is less than one-tenth of that of running an air conditioner. Oh Jeong-gi, CEO of Global Hitech Electronics, explained, "Our combined cooling-and-heating mat is an innovative, new-technology smart appliance that applies the semiconductor expertise we have accumulated over the years," adding, "Whereas existing products were limited to water mats or heated mats that use boilers and can only be used in winter, our product incorporates semiconductors (thermoelectric elements), making it a sleep-tech product that can be used at all times, throughout all four seasons."
Global Hitech Electronics continues to develop and launch home appliance products specialized in semiconductor Peltier technology, alongside the special lighting technology—such as light-emitting diode (LED) modules—it has accumulated over the years. Conventional water mats and heated mats have the limitation of being usable only in certain seasons, and issues such as high electricity costs and fire risk have been raised. In contrast, Global Hitech Electronics' 'Hapel Sleep Care' uses semiconductor technology to enable year-round use, enhancing consumers' economic value.
