NSDS (NOROO Seoul Design Studio), NOROO Group's specialized color research institute, has published the color trend book 'COVER ALL Vol. 6'.
First published in 2016 with 'humanities' and released annually since, 'COVER ALL' pursues a multilayered approach to the major changes in our lives and to the use of design, color, and materials. In addition, it has helped create a richer lifestyle by realizing the value of social sharing through color while presenting creative inspiration and ideas.
Under the theme 'better option,' this sixth edition of 'COVER ALL' argues that, rather than pursuing the very best or the utmost, choosing what is most suitable for our lives and environment among the many options directly related to our lives is the best methodology available to us living in the modern era. Furthermore, to enhance the completeness of both content and form, the project brought together artists such as Huh Myung-wook and Artnom—who lead the resonance of K-culture through their global activities—as well as Michelin two-star owner-chef Yim Jung-sik, interior designer Teo Yang, and broadcaster Cho Se-ho.
Published in a limited run of 30 art books featuring the actual works of lacquerware craftsman Huh Myung-wook and 100 hardcover design books, this edition is sold domestically at 10 CORSO COMO Cheongdam, the Samsung Leeum Museum of Art, the Print Bakery Huh Myung-wook showroom (Hannam-dong), and Galleria Huh Myung-wook. For overseas readers, it is also sold simultaneously at Japan's Tsutaya Books in Tokyo (Ginza Six and Daikanyama) and at ARMANI LIBRO in Milan, Italy. The COVER ALL + Art Book featuring Huh Myung-wook's works can be viewed in person from February 7 at artist Huh Myung-wook's studio café in Hannam-dong.
Han Kyung-won, Director of NSDS (NOROO Seoul Design Studio), said, "Through repeated collaborations with creators around the world, we have given each edition its own unique value so that the book itself can be worth collecting," adding, "This edition, too, was able to become a differentiated color trend book thanks to its rich composition and the participation of distinctive creators." 031-467-6114
