Noroo Paint Co., Ltd. is targeting the interior water-based paint market with ‘Pantone Air Fresh,’ a high-performance paint that improves indoor air quality simply by applying it to interior walls.

Developed and launched in March of last year in response to a consumer trend of growing interest in functional products related to health and the environment, this product offers a major advantage: at a time when air quality is very poor due to fine dust, the paint absorbs formaldehyde, environmental hormones, and harmful substances contained in indoor air that cause sick house syndrome, delivering an outstanding air-purifying effect.

With a special NANO PORE SIZE structure, this product achieves physical adsorption through van der Waals forces (instantaneous electrical polarization and partial electrical polarization). Its excellent dust-collection efficiency chemically bonds with harmful substances and draws in airborne formaldehyde, converting harmful components into substances that have no effect on the human body, making it an air-purifying functional paint that is effective in improving indoor air quality.

Testing by the ‘Korea Conformity Laboratories’ (KCL) analyzed the product as having an adsorption rate more than 11 times higher than that of ordinary water-based paint, and it has been certified with eco-friendly and antibacterial marks. In addition, it has obtained the performance-evaluation standard mark for adsorptive building materials, one of Korea’s only recommended standards for health-friendly housing construction. Furthermore, as an interior water-based paint, this product has been developed to allow tinting in 1,500 Pantone colors, making it an excellent product that lets consumers choose from a wide range of colors while also achieving interior design effects.

Since its launch in 2018, ‘Pantone Air Fresh’ has drawn increasingly high market interest and response, and with consumer demand for improved indoor air quality and a comfortable environment growing significantly amid recent concerns over sick house syndrome and various harmful substances, sales of this product are expected to expand considerably.

Meanwhile, in light of various survey figures showing that indoor spaces are no longer safe from fine dust and airborne harmful substances, Noroo Paint anticipates active use of the product in a range of commercial facilities—including schools, hospitals, academies, and kids’ cafés—that are concerned about improving indoor air quality, and is strengthening its marketing accordingly. 080–944–7777
