Noroo Paint recently announced that, in line with the government's strengthened construction safety policies, it has assembled a lineup of large-scale disaster-prevention paints offering flame-retardant, fire-resistant, and fire-retardant functions.
Noroo Paint is marketing three functional paints specialized in flame retardancy, fire resistance, and fire-retardancy. First, there is 'Cleanpoxy Flame-Retardant Lining,' a flame-retardant paint that resists catching fire, and 'Fire Blocking,' a fire-resistant paint that protects steel structures from fire. △ 'Cleanpoxy Flame-Retardant Lining,' a flame-retardant epoxy flooring material, is a self-extinguishing product that resists catching fire, made primarily from flame-retardant resins and flame-retardant materials. This product meets the non-combustible material grade set by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and unlike conventional floor paints that are vulnerable to fire, it prevents the spread of fire and can suppress the release of heavy metals and toxic gases. It was developed to prevent even the secondary damage caused by fire. 'Cleanpoxy Flame-Retardant Lining' satisfies the quality standards for all items of KSF4937 (parking lot floor surface finishing material) and has also obtained an Eco Mark, making it broadly applicable to various industrial facilities as well as commercial facilities such as high-rise buildings, officetels, large marts, and department stores. △ In addition, 'Fire Blocking,' a high-performance fire-resistant paint, is applied to the columns, beams, and roofs of the steel-frame structures that form the skeleton of a building; when a fire breaks out, the applied coating rapidly foams and expands, delaying the temperature rise caused by the fire. This prevents the collapse of buildings that can occur when steel frames melt, thereby preventing major accidents. Under current building law, fire-resistant paint must be applied to all steel-frame structures in the country. 'Fire Blocking' has been released in one-hour and two-hour versions, depending on how long it withstands fire. △ 'Fire Keeper,' a fire-retardant paint that prevents combustion in the early stages of a fire, is used as a finish on interior plywood, wood, and the like in buildings. By adding functions such as fire-retardancy and antibacterial properties to woodworking UV paint, it delays the spread of flames when a fire occurs, extending evacuation time and reducing casualties. It is an environmentally friendly paint widely used in wood interior construction of items such as sink units, built-in closets, and furniture, and its outstanding fire-retardant function also minimizes TVOC emissions.
