Global home furnishing company IKEA is launching the third series of its 'Nytillverkad Collection,' a modern reinterpretation of IKEA's iconic designs, to mark the company's 80th anniversary.

'Nytillverkad' is a collection that freshly reinterprets carefully selected past designs from the IKEA archive, reflecting the growing trend of interest in distinctive vintage furniture. Going back to IKEA's roots, it adds bold, colorful hues and new materials to simple, practical original designs, presenting products that suit contemporary tastes. The third series captures the atmosphere of IKEA in the late 1960s to early 1970s—an era charged with the winds of change through youth culture, pop music, and protest movements—when the company created witty products distinguished by bold shapes and bright, cheerful colors using new materials such as paint-finished particleboard and plastic.

The signature designs of designers who contributed to IKEA's growth with outstanding talent and passion—including IKEA's first female designer Karin Mobring, Gillis Lundgren who took part in developing the IKEA logotype, and renowned Swedish designers Sven Fristedt and Ehlen Johansson—have been reborn as products that remain beautiful through the years. Key products include the 'VÅGBODA side table,' a reinterpretation of Mobring's signature 'Krommi' featured in the IKEA catalog, now with a crisp white and light yellow top and a chrome-plated frame, and the 'DYBLINGE swivel armchair,' a fresh redesign of the 'Mila'—which Lundgren created inspired by lowrider cars—using sustainable materials and a reinforced tilting structure. Other items include Johansson's 'SKOGSTUNDRA vase' emphasizing sophistication and delicacy, cushion covers and 'precut fabric' featuring Fristedt's 'STRECKPLY pattern' inspired by salt and pepper, and the eye-catching 'ÄNGSPIVLA pattern' distinguished by striking animal-paw shapes.

Meanwhile, the 'Nytillverkad Collection' is available at all IKEA Korea stores, as well as through the official online store and app, and via Hej Order, a remote ordering service offered by phone or chat. 1670-4532
